Rooster Piercing Palm....?

Postby Blade Sackett » Mon Nov 21, 2016 6:16 am

Anyone have some insight on the Rooster piercing palm? How does the hand differ from say Lion ox toungue palm or Bear penetrating palm. From what I've seen, the thumb doesn't seemed to be tucked like the afore mentioned, but if I remember correctly, it is tucked for the piercing strengthening posture....?

Hey Blade,

The three foundational Piercing attacks should be executed with the thumb tucked in. Here's why:

- During usage, this will protect it from getting jammed.

- For training, the alternating opening and closing motion of the hand as you spread open the fingers and palm for your palm heel wipe attack changing into fingers held taut together / thumb in during the piercing strike will help develop hand strength, agility, and reflexes.

When you strike, the hand is basically held the same as Bear Penetrating or Lion Posture.

Hey Justin,

Yes, that would be the same idea on some of the other Rooster strikes, for example Closing-In and Grinding Shifting.
